He was predeceased by: his parents, Butch Blackfox and Wanda Blackfox; his son Shelby; his grandchildren, Reed and Tenley; and his brother Bobby.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bayless; his daughter Genia Yeager (Tommy) of Kansas, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Beaver Blackfox (Frances) of Kansas, Oklahoma and Nina Turtle (William) of Kansas, Oklahoma. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
