She was predeceased by : her parents, Claude Messinger and Winifred Messinger; her husband Roy Slavin; her son David Slavin; and her siblings, Ila West, Cleo Masset, Erma Menze, Iona Mez, Bob Messinger and Bill Messinger.
She is survived by : her children, Verna Brooks (John) of Shawnee, OK and Rod Slavin (Karen) of El Cajon, CA; and her pet Molly. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
