He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemo Fredrick Garland and Delores "Lori" Marie Scholl; his brother James Garland; and his great grandchildren, Bryton and Nolan Sneed.

He is survived by: his wife Shiela Garland (Trantham); his daughter Gamble Yeung of Brea, California; his stepsons, Billy Sneed of Colbert and Daniel Sneed of Kenefic, Oklahoma.; and his grandchildren, Kindall, Aiden Yeung of California, Aaron Billy, Blaise, Kylelynn, Neveah, Aynzlee Sneed, Jasiah Woodrum of Oklahoma and Patience Sneed of Arkansas.
