Brenda Carol Hume Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Carol Hume in Keota, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Walton and Florence Mae Kates (Ballard); and her brothers, Stanley, Kenny and Larry Kates.
She is survived by: her husband R. E. Hume; her children, Robert Hume (Missy) of Keota, Keith Hume (April) of Keota and Jerri Cay Allen (Travis) of Keota; her grandchildren, Hayden Hume (Laura), Chasten Hume, Saylor Allen (Bryan), Emmari Prater (Ricky), Mason Hume (Madison), Joshua Allen, Dustie Colwell (Hayden), Ella Waggoner (Caden) and Lucas Hume; her great grandchildren, Roxx Hume, Dawsynn Floyd, Weston Ary, Brixxon Ary, Walker Hunter, Cole Beam, Aidyn Beam and Evelyn Waggoner; her siblings, Jerry Kates (Belinda) of Keota, Francile Harris of Keota and Sherry Reynolds (Danny); and her sibling-in-law R. E. Hume. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Unity Baptist Church (21305 OK-9, Keota, OK 74941).
