He was predeceased by : his father Alex Buckner; his wife Kathy Buckner; his siblings, Charles Buckner and Shirley Buckner; and his granddaughter Emily Smith.
He is survived by : his mother Jimmie Lee Buckner (Cagle) of Keota; his children, Leon Buckner (Amanda) of Stigler, John Buckner (Cindy) of Keota, Melinda Bender (David Roberts) and Laura Needham (Charles) of Hoyt; and his siblings, Elmer Buckner (Norma) of Sallisaw, Tommy Buckner (Betty) of Keota, David Buckner (Clerisa) of Enterprise, Phyllis Atkinson (Tommy) of Cassville, MO., Patricia Mize of Stigler and Carolyn Andrews of Stigler. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
