With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Annette Short of Keota, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Carry Barnett and Alline Allen Johnson; her siblings, Lutricia Johnson, Linda Kay Barnett, Louie and Floyd Johnson; and her son-in-law Jim Oliver.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Short; her children, Kenny Short (Zora) of Keota, Sandy Oliver of Keota, Kayte Bloxham (Terry) of Keota and Marvin Short (Kaylea) of Apache Junction, Arizona; and her sister Debbie McCormick (Sam) of Keota. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the King and Shearwood Funeral Home (808 E Main St, Stigler, OK 74462). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the R. E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel (808 E Main St, Stigler, OK 74462).
