He is survived by: his children, Leland Hamner of Kingston, Paula McDonald (Ed) of Houston and Jimmy Hamner (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Taylor McDonald, Alyson McDonald, Holly Hamner, Oliver Hamner, Helena Avery and Bailey Gayle Hamner.
