He was predeceased by: his parents, John Winfred and Laura Elizabeth Sparks (Bartimus); his former wife Rita Sparks; his wife Carolyn Sparks; his son James Kendall Sparks; his siblings, Jack Richard Sparks, Joe Sparks, Danny Dee Sparks, Jessie Frank Sparks and Ramona Lee Cox; his half-siblings, Orvil Watkins, Ed Watkins, Ramona Lee Cox and Betty Sue Sparks; his uncle John Winfred Sparks, Jr.; and his nephew Jonathan Jack Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Bart Sparks, Zane Granvil Sparks, Lana Staton and Jerri Allison Lien; his brother Carl Arnold Sparks; and his nephew Joe Lawrence. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, other nieces and nephews.
