She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Fern Stranghorner (Wilmer Legates); her son Bobby Ward; and her father Bruce Shuemake. She is survived by: her husband Rex Riley; and her children, Debbie Ward, Patty Ward, Rebecca Carr (Eric Carr) and Derek Nibarger. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
