She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ward and Frannie Richard Ward; her sons, Henry Olen Land and Jimmy Land; and her sisters, Willie Mae Bartlett, Frances Finocchio and Frankie Woodruff.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Sappington; her children, Earl "Eugene" (Lebett Garrett-Sappington), Frank Land, Daniel Land, Montey (Mike Beavers) and Eudella (David Reynolds); and her sister Henryetta Plunkett. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, as well as numerous great grandchildren, and other loving family members.
