It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Johnnie Ruth Burse of Lawton, Oklahoma, born in Shelbyville, Texas, who passed away at the age of 85, on April 18, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnny McClelland and Lillian McClelland (Williams); and her siblings, Lenice Littlejohn and Gary McClelland. She is survived by : her children, Debra Thompson, Evelyn, Bruce Schoenleber, Georgia, Edward, Jill Williams, Sharon Burse-Lee, Marcellus, Jacqueline Woodard, Stacye Burse-Smith and Lucrsia Betancourt; and her siblings, Ida Marie Colbert (Nehemiah), Belinda Lampkin and James McClelland (Debbie). She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; two Great Great Grandsons.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel (1502 NW Fort Sill Blvd, Lawton, OK 73507). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Following John's death she continued her role as a caregiver by working as a care provider for disabled adults through the Great Plains Improvement Foundation until her retirement.
