He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Griffith and Maxine Hyatt; his stepfather George Hyatt; his brother Gary Griffith; his nieces, Kara Griffith and Kristin Durks (Bryan); his in-laws, Frances and Joe Birchfield; his siblings-in-law, Terry and Wayne Plucker; and his close friends, Chestley Mooney, Olen Boyston and Don LaFerr.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Griffith; his stepsons, Jason Eden (Ashley) and Jared Eden; his grandchildren, Kylan Eden, Kaiden Eden, Henley Eden, Evan Eden, Hayden Herrmann and Kensley Herrmann; his brothers, Derrell Griffith (Mary) and Kris Griffith (Nancy); and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Griffith, Linda Fore (LeRoy) and Jean Swanda (KirkNumerous).
