We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, at the age of 96, Lawana M. Spurlock in Lawton, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darce Cannaday and Pearl Cannaday; her husband Lawrence T Canary; and her daughters, Glenda Canary, Dani and Lani.
She is survived by: her siblings, James Cannaday, Bob Cannaday, Dan Cannaday, Flonnie Driscoll and Betty Cannaday; her sons, Steve Canary and Joe Canary; her grandchildren, Stephanie Fischer (Robert), Charity Embry (Brian), Nicholas Sherwin and Joe Canary Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Fischer, Emma Fischer, Olivia Pennington (Hunter), Allison Bracamontes, Eric Embry and Kyle Embry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South (6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens - Oklahoma City (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139).
