With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lewis Hawkey of Lawton, Oklahoma, born in Farina, Illinois, who passed away on April 29, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Hawkey and Anna B. Hawkey (Simmons); his son Darrel Hawkey; his grandchildren, Errol Hawkey and Jani Hawkey; his son-in-law Franklin Powell; his niece Sheila Frailey; and his siblings, Ellsworth Jenkins, Kenneth Hawkey, Earl Hawkey, Harold Gene Hawkey, Jerry Hawkey, Mildred Bermingham, Cleta Jones, Ailene Hawkey, Imogene Beasley and Pauline Depoister.

He is survived by : his wife Veda Hawkey; his children, Alan Hawkey, DJ Powell, Janet (Tim Stephens), Kevin (Kristina Hawkey) and Gina Hawkey; his brother Rolland Hawkey; his grandchildren, Jody (John Purcell), Crystal (John Childers), Clint (Sherry Powell), Keith (Rachel Powell), Trent Powell (Chelsea Lazenby) and Sara Hawkey (Brady Payan); and his great grandchildren, Jacob Daniels, Parker, Kaitlyn Childers, Violet, Callan, Palmer Purcell, Easton, Olivia, Blair and Lila Powell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
