He is survived by: his pets, Lobo and Samantha; his daughters, Marie Ruiz (Tank) and Diana Ruiz (James Schafer); his grandchildren, Alexa Padilla-Ruiz, Makaela Riss-Ruiz, Ma'Rod Luis Hunter-Ruiz and Rashod Jones; his daughter Julia Isabel Ruiz-Mendoza; his siblings, Ernesto Ruiz (Emilia), Carmen Ana Pabon, Ricardo Ruiz, Ramon Ruiz (Haydé), Camila Winslow and Juana Inés Ruiz; and his friend Omar Gonzalez. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
