We announce the death of Marian Weeks (Lawton, Oklahoma), who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Nix and Ercel Nix; her husband Harold Elder; her son Marion "Butch" Weeks; her siblings, William Nix, James Nix and Mary Lee Mead; and her grandson Harold Lee Weeks, Jr..
She is survived by: her brother Roy Nix of Kansas; and her sons, Harold "Harry" Weeks of Colorado and Richard Weeks (Reneé) of Oklahoma. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Viewing was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mercer-Adams Chapel (3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ft. Still Post Cemetery (900 Donnelly Rd, Lawton, OK 73503).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maxine's name to The Bridge Church in Bethany.
