He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Whitaker and Ruth C. Whitaker (Collins); and his brother William Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Jacky Whitaker; his children, Tricia Holt (Dustin), Robert Whitaker Jr. (Jennifer), Daniel Whitaker (Ashleen) and Frederick Whitaker (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Nicolena Lopez (Eric), James Meola III, Kayla Ciamba (Nicholas), Joshua Meola (Addiley), Zachary, Jacob, Brianna, Benjamin, Emilee, Ashton, Grayson, Robert Ray, Larissa Whitaker and Leah Harjo; his great grandchildren, Ana, Sofia, Maya Lopez, Vincenzo, Noah, Leo Ciambra and Montgomery Meola; his brother Richard Whitaker; and his father-in-law Jack Davis.
