He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Newman Pugh Sherrill and Dick Sherrill; and his brothers, Dewayne Allen, Billy Sherrill, Richard Sherrill, Larry Sherrill and Gary Sherrill.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rebecca Johnson, Orval (Cheryl Sherrill) and Jimmy (Brenda Sherrill). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
