It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma T. Kemble (Lawton, Oklahoma), who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Tahchawwickah and Maggie Tahchawwickah (Niedo); her husband Sylvester Kemble; her sons, Robert Pewewardy and Newton Pewewardy; and her siblings, Marquerite Parker, Vida Woommavovah, Mary Ellen Morris, Helen Cable, Nick Tahchawwickah, Allen Tachchawwickah and Harry Wauahdooah.
She is survived by: her siblings, Pete Coffey, Jr. of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Rose Nauni of Cache, Oklahoma. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
