He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Thomas and Carrie Jane Buckler (Tippett); his wife Maria Elena Buckler (Rodriguez); his siblings, Marietta Ann Silverman (Buckler), Andrew Thomas Buckler Jr. and James Lester Buckler; and his grandson Stephen Anthony Buckler.
He is survived by: his son William Marcellus Buckler, Jr. (Debra Ricks); his brothers, Lewis Richard Buckler (Shirley) and Ray Dennis Buckler (Ann Marie); his daughter Carrie Jane Mayse (Buckler); and his grandchildren, Brandon Cecil Barrett (Amey), Carrie Marie (Buckler) and Fontenot (Louis Fontenot). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
