He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, James Mayes (Rhonda), Sara Mayes and Eric Mayes (Joe Joe); his brother Olie Mayes, Jr.; his grandchildren, Dalton Mayes, Kaylan Mayes and Dakota Mayes; his great grandchild Aria Mayes; his grandchildren, Luis Alvarez, Michael McCune, Maverick McCune and Memphis McCune; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Walker (Russell) and Vernon Poe. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.
