He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Eugene Dillingham and Rhoda Bell Dillingham (Thompson); and his wife Ruth Olita Dillingham. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Lou Sherman (Clayton Sherman); and his granddaughter Cynthia Dawn Sherman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodberry Forrest Cemetery.
