It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackson Herschel Mathis of Mannford, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jackson is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Lovil Mathis and Mary Elizabeth Lemaster Mathis; and his sisters, Sue, Judy and Lois.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Mathis of Mannford, OK; his children, Brian Mathis (Kimberly) of Mannford, OK, Michael Mathis (Mellissa) of Catoosa, OK, Joshua Mathis (Maranda) of Tulsa, OK and Rachel Stapleton of Tulsa, OK; his brother-in-law Jerry Lockridge of Tulsa, OK; and his siblings, Roger Mathis (Bonnie) of Tulsa, OK and Janelle Gallardo of Tulsa, OK.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a large circle of extended family.
