He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew and Hazel Addie Culwell (Matthews); his daughter Melissa "Missy" Dunn; the mother of his children Patsy Riley; and his siblings, Butch Culwell, Gus Culwell, Edard Culwell, Barbara Culwell Elliott and Cathy Culwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawnita Sampson (Jason) of Marietta and Donna Rains (Tim) of Marietta; his grandchildren, Aaron Dunn (Lisa), Asher Hartman (Paige) and T. J. Rains; his great grandchild Henley Kay Hartman; his pets, Sweetheart and Little Buddy; and his niece Marcella Kirk. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
