He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud V. Powell and Mary Ann Powell (Suggs); his wife Eva Mae Cobb; his daughter Debbra Darleen Clement; and his siblings, Velma Trivelpiece, Eileen Jones, Claudine Monkres, Joyce Varner, Aubrey Powell (Hop) and Buddy Powell.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy D. Powell (Kelly) of Marietta and Ronda Gale Price (Eugene) of Callisburg, TX; and his sisters, Mary Ann Faulkenberry of Marietta and Carolyn Ryan (Mike) of Plano, TX.
