It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara Ward (Marlow, Oklahoma) is shared. Barbara, born on July 21, 1939, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Barbara will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Barbara by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Barbara is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Barbara’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Martin and Ruby D. Martin (McMillan); and her sister Nelma Gills. She is survived by: her husband Gene Ray Ward; and her sons, Brent Martin Ward of Oklahoma City and Kent Ray Ward of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service (415 W Main St, Marlow, OK 73055). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bray Missionary Baptist Church (6919 OK-29, Marlow, OK 73055).
