He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Allen Mitchell, Sr. and Glenda Mitchell (Stribel); and his father-in-law Gary Newberry. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Mitchell; his children, Colt Mitchell (Chylie) of Marlow and Ryder Mitchell of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Crew Allen Mitchell and Case Landry Mitchell; his brother Fred Mitchell (Tina) of Vernal, Utah; his siblings-in-law, Treble Newberry (Angel) of Marlow, Tobey Newberry of Norman and Shanna Batemen (Shawn) of Marlow; and his mother-in-law Kay Newberry of Marlow. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Connection Church (167979 Clearcreek Rd, Marlow, OK 73055).
The family requests that donations in Jerry's honor be made to the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
