She is survived by: her sons, Danny Floyd Akin of Shawnee, Gary Allen Akin (Edie) and Ricky Dale Akin (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Meredith Marie (Jason Tyler) of Norman, Oklahoma, Garrett Brooks Akin (Meghan) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Corey James Akin of Lapeer Michigan, Mary Nicole Akin of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Sarah Elizabeth Akin of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and her great grandchildren, Brooklynn Marie Tyler of Norman, Oklahoma, Holten Gray Tyler, AJ Brooks Akin of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Samwise Floyd Akin, Arthur James Akin and Louis Ernst Akin of Lapeer Michigan. She is also survived by numerous extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (210 W Walnut St, Tecumseh, OK 74873). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel (210 W Walnut St, Tecumseh, OK 74873).
