He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell McConathy and Chloteal McConathy. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Cosgrove; his children, Wendi Vaughn (Mike) and Billy Ray McConathy (Nikki); his grandchildren, Riley Vaughn and Connor Vaughn; his sister Maggie Testa; his niece Chris Testa; his great-niece Jenny Martin (Jodi); his siblings-in-law, Lela, Gerry Williams, Hank Allen, Travis and Peggy Cosgrove; Morgan Martin.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brumley Mills Funeral Home.
