He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin E. Smith and Lulu Mae Smith (Tatum); his grandson John Wyath "J. W." Smith; and his siblings, Dally Smith, Travis Smith, Jim Long, Carl Smith, Virginia Mason, Sharon Sanderson and Rose Handley.
He is survived by: his wife Jenetta F. Pogue; his children, Danetta Rials (David) of Okmulgee, Nora Burris (Terry) of McAlester and Dally Smith of McAlester; his grandchildren, Cody Smith, Paige, Chance Webb, Morgan Standridge (Junior), Hunter Smith, Jan and Carson Smith; his great grandchildren, Blakely Smith and Casey Smith; his sisters, Violet Salvelesky and Katie Utterback; and his friends, Rev. Keith Kinnamon and Jack Ormsby. He is also survived by numerous other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
