Roger Busby wrote a sympathy message

“Dad was a;ways more than just a father to his kids, he was a constant advisor and protector. He tried to teach us to always be the best we could be and always remember family first. He dedicated the last years of his life to his kids and being sure we were always OK. I miss our talks and the sound of him laughing. My dad was the best, he could do anything, he was my hero. I miss him everyday as i know my sisters do. We want to thank all of those people that shared memories of our dad. We were all so lucky because so many kids out there have fathers, but we had a Dad. We know he is sitting with mom now and our brother Ben watching us and we all hope they are proud. I love you Dad and will miss you the rest of my life.”

“Buzz was my protector, my helper, and most important my dear friend. Moving to Texas separated us, but we tried to stay in contact via mail. I have missed our conversations, his wonderful smile and laughter, and how his heart was always showing. Waterdog Marine and Jimmy Houston Marine became his refuge after Hazel passed away, but we gained, too. I pray his children will find comfort and peace, and I thank you for sharing him with me. i loved him dearly, and will miss him.”
