She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Thompson and Shirley Thompson; her sister Sharon; and her niece Madison. She is survived by: her children, Chris (Laurie), Anna and Cameon (Justin); her husband Gary Thompson; her grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Annolee, Lorelie and Gabriel; and her brother Ralph Jr. (Tina).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Oklahoma general scholarship fund.
