She was predeceased by: her parents, Monte Akin and Bessie Akin (Middleton); her husband Bob Johnson; and her siblings, Elsie Mae Howell and Elgie Ray Akin.

She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Hess; her grandson Brian Holloway; and her niece BJ Pfau.
