It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Lavon Bernard of McAlester, Oklahoma, born in Stuart, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Crosthwait and Rozetta Crosthwait. She is survived by : her husband Leon Bernard; her children, Steve Bernard (Robbie) and Sandra Younger (Joe); her grandchildren, Summer Westbrook, Jim Westbrook and Ryan Bernard; and her siblings, Jim Crosthwait, Willa Cliftt and Joy Berry.
