He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe W. Griggs, Sr. and Fern Crawley Griggs Robertson; his siblings, Joe Allan Griggs, Alta Bond (Doll), Michael Eugene Digney, Gary Robertson and Terry Robertson; and his daughter Stacie Griggs.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Griggs; his children, Ritchie Griggs (Traci), David Griggs (Priscilla), Stanley Yount and Ashley Blair; his grandchildren, Shalon Griggs (Paul Fenn), Marion Fronterhouse (Jason Price), Taylor Griggs, Katelyn Rutledge, Katherine Griggs (Jeron Taylor), Calley Moss (Cody Cox), Chad Shea, Cayden Hargis and Conner Morgan; his great grandchildren, Cash Phillips and Salem Reign Price; his brothers, Robert Wesley Griggs and Joe Willliam, Jr. Griggs (Jody); and his parents-in-law, Jamie Smith, Curtis Smith (Brenda), Lottie Turney, Barbara Smith, Kenny McMennamy (Jettie) and Jerry McMennamy (Louise).
