As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma J. Morton (Wells) and J. C. Morton. He is survived by: his sisters, Clydell Vidmer and Georgia DeCaro; and his friends, Gary, Annette Nichols and Larry Bishop.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory (110 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bokchito Cemetery (1001 Steakley St, Bokchito, OK 74726).
