It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie A. Young of McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira C. House and Edna House (Venis); and her brothers, Hoyle House and Cecil Mouser. She is survived by: her husband Marion "Sonny" Young; her children, Jane White Rhodes of Hugo, Donna White Shufeldt of McAlester, Cheryl Byars (Johnny) of Grant and Robert Young of Virginia; her grandchildren, Meagan Rhodes, Brandon Starr, Jr., Kase Burton, Tiffany Shufeldt, Charles Gatteys, Kelly Goulding (Shawn), Robert Young, Jr., Emily Reeves (Justin), Sharron Wesley (Tony), Amanda Nelson (Ivan), Samuel Byars and Renae Loftin (Steven); and her siblings, Phillip House (Jonetta) of Tulsa, James Mouser (Margaret) of Ada and Beverly Holmes. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
