She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Pershing Smith and Margaret Joy Smith (Hawkins); her husband Donald R. "Jim" James; and her brother Forrest Aaron Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Aliya James and Victoria Riddle; her nephew Stephen Smith (Tammy); her cousins, Linda Cutrer, DeLoyce Patterson and Krista Patterson; and her close friends, Sue Miller and Minnie Crenshaw. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
