He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Phillips and Mary Sue Phillips (Griffin); his brother John Paul Phillips; and his siblings-in-law, Toni Sheppard and Rick Sheppard.
He is survived by: his wife Rita J. Taylor; his children, Michelle Cochrane (Sean) of Broken Arrow and Logan Phillips (Rendi) of McAlester; his grandchildren, Hayden Cochrane, Peyton, Hailey Rodgers, Zack, Bash Phillips, Ash Phillips and Sky Phillips; his brother Jerry Phillips (Karen) of McAlester; and his brother-in-law Charles Taylor of Hinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Side Assembly of God (3602 N George Nigh Expy, McAlester, OK 74501).
