It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laura Michael of McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Paula Cox (Heitman); and her grandparents, Freeman, Dorothy Helton and Laura Heitman. She is survived by: her father Teddy M. Helton; her son Kaibryn Anders; the father of her child Sam Anders; her daughters, Kaitlyn Michael and Kristen McPherson; her grandchildren, Sophia, Alanah and Hadlee; and her siblings, T. J. Helton (Robyn), Bradley Helton (Abbie), Chris Helton and Brandy Card (Cassy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel (528 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Haven Bible Baptist Church (55 SW 1st St, Krebs, OK 74554).
