He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy and Flossie Mae Young (Garrison); his wife Janie Arnita Young; and his siblings, Carl Wayne Young, Lee Roy "Shorty" Young, Jr., Arlie Junior Young, Charles Floyd "Choc" Young and Elizabeth Ann Eller-Farquharson.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Young, Sr. of Virginia, Cheryl Byars (Johnny) of Grant, Jane White-Rhodes of Hugo and Donna White-Shufeldt of McAlester; his grandchildren, Samuel Byars, Emily Reeves (Justin), Amanda Nelson (Ivan), Sharron Wesley (Tony), Kelly Goulding (Shawn), Robert Young, Jr., Meagan Rhodes, Brandon Starr, Jr., Kase Burton, Tiffany Shufeldt, Charles Gatteys and Renae Loftin (Steven); and his sister Pauline Engleman (Gwen) of McAlester. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
