Mary Deane Brassfield Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2023, at the age of 102, Mary Deane Brassfield of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lon Armstrong and Annie Armstrong (Manley); her husband J. Carl Brassfield; her brothers, Lee Armstrong, Bob Armstrong, Richard Armstrong and Charles Armstrong; her siblings-in-law, Leo, Reba Lampton (Brassfield), Jack and Mamie Grantham (Brassfield); and her cousins, Cap Grantham, Jackie Grantham McBroom and Lynn Armstrong Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Brassfield and Carla Brassfield; her granddaughter Marlo Barton-Burk; her great grandchildren, Ava Katherine Burk of McAlester and Lauren Elizabeth Burk of McAlester; her sister-in-law Wilda McCormick; and her sibling's children, Molly Snyder, Virgil Grantham, George Lampton, Sidney Armstrong, Tammy Hawkins, Greg Armstrong and Jennifer Armstrong. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of McAlester.
