The memory of Max D. Sweetin (McAlester, Oklahoma), who passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Britt and Minnie Irene Sweetin (McCormack); his sons, Timothy Sweetin and Brent Sweetin; and his brothers, Jiggs Sweetin and Knox Sweetin.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sweetin of Ti Valley; his daughter Vickie Wills (Okie) of Plano, Texas; his grandchildren, Waunette Irene Sweetin, Kerrie Lively (Kerry) and Jerimy Wills (Michelle); and his sisters, Yvonne McDonald (Leonard) and Elaine Sampson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a host of friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory (110 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ti Valley Baptist Church (5608 Pine Top Rd, Blanco, OK 74528).
