He was predeceased by: his parents, Omegene Darrell and Traymon Darrell; his siblings, Billy Darrell and Patsy Oneal; and his nephew Danny Jewel.

He is survived by: his daughter Mary Darrell (Marc Shull) of McAlester; his grandchildren, Jeremy Pitts, Jr., Carmen York, Deana York and Kayla York; his adoptive daughter Thersa Pogue (Michael Brown); his siblings, Edith Beck of Mustang and Raymond (Barbara Darrell) of Kiowa; Brena Roberts (David Roberts) of Crowder, Tony Pogue of Hartshorne and Harley Pogue of Hartshorne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins family and friends.
