He was predeceased by: his father David Elwood Kerns; his sister Shelly Lynn Moorman (Kerns); and his uncle Charles Allen Kerns. He is survived by: his mother Sherry Kerns (Killebrew) of McAlester; his wife Tonya Kerns; his sisters, Vicky McCoy (Garry) of Moore and Lola Dawn Valentine (Matthew) of Metamora, MI; his son Brody Kerns of McAlester; his stepdaughter Jordan Eby of McAlester; his siblings' children, Wesley Broyles, Mandi Robbins, Kylee Pitchford (Dylan), Lindsey McCoy, David Gilpen, Jacqueline Patterson (Keith), Nadeah Hall (Nick) and J. J. Kalapodis; and his grandchildren, Logan Lawrence and Sutton Lawrence.
