He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Carter and Laura Carter (Woodfork); his siblings, Terrell Tabo Carter, Angeline Brooks (Carter), Marvin Carter, Guy Carter, Evelyn Carter and Herman Woodfork; his niece Tona Carter; and his nephew Tracy Scroggins.
He is survived by: his children, Dalton McClendon (Sierra) of Checotah, Derrick Cheater of McAlester and Anna Cheater of McAlester; his grandchildren, Harrison, Logan, Lucas, Mason, Dawson, Brighton, Geni and Emric; his sister Lena Carter of Checotah; his brother-in-law David Brooks; and his girlfriend Peggy Williams of McAlester. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
