He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth (Steele) and Chester Field Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mae Byrd (Stowers); his children, Amy Dixon (Richard) of Mead, Amber Tucker (Todd) of Edmond, Oklahoma and Andy Byrd (Kara) of Durant, Oklahoma; his brother Ronnie Byrd (Gerrie) of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Blaine St. Clair of Mead, Blake St. Clair (Cindra) of Ravia, Detroit Dixon of Ardmore, Dailyn Walker (David) of Milburn, Madilyn Crouch (Stuart) of Yukon, Krete Byrd of Durant and Etta Byrd of Durant, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Gordon Center (305 N 2nd Ave, Durant, OK 74701).
