It is with sadness that the passing of Lois Gean Evans in Meeker, Oklahoma is shared. Lois, born on September 19, 1929 in Wellston, Oklahoma, passed away on June 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Lois will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Lois by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Lois is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Lois’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Pulliam and Nova Irene Pulliam (Gazaway); her daughter Sherry Lynn Evans; and her siblings, Gordon Pulliam and Nancy Kay Crosswell.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Evans (Kathy), Richard Evans (Debbie) and Randy Evans (Tammy). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other extended family members and friends.
In 1999, Lois was inducted into the Oklahoma Educators Hall of Fame, a well-deserved honor recognizing her outstanding contributions to education.
