Though Melody may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rothaar and Geraldine McQueen Rothaar; and her brother Douglas Rothaar. She is survived by: her husband Alfred "Chip" Draper; her sons, Nathaniel Draper (Amy Robison Draper) of Edmond and Zachary Draper of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her brother Michael Rothaar of Florida; and her grandchildren, Catherine Draper, Christian Draper and Katelin Johnson. She is also survived by 11 cats, 2 dogs, and her horses.
Memorial donations may be made in Melody's honor to WildCare of Noble, Oklahoma, and Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue of Harrah, Oklahoma, organizations that reflect her lifelong mission of caring for animals.
