He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wilson; his children, Mechele Battle-Berry, Lynn Battle-Matthews, Mari Battle, Katara Battle-Hill (Evan Hill), Kim Battle, Nicholas Richard Battle III (Tracey Battle) and Charles Battle (Caroline); his grandchildren, Melissiea Hill, John Berry, Paul Matthews, Amari Tobler, Brianna Berry, Evan Hill II, Zuri Battle, Charles Battle II and Amani Battle; and his siblings, Glen Battle, Evelyn Battle and Lena Naff. He is also survived by one grandchild on the way; three great grandchildren.
